Some Red-breasted Mergansers, such as this male, choose to spend the summer in what is typically their winter range. This is the second of two photographs showing this non-breeding male resting on a log jutting into the bay.

Passion leads the way and my camera follows. Though most drawn to scenes of the outdoors, whether they be grand landscapes, intimate details, or life in all its many forms, I also feel pulled towards other subjects and scenes.
